The work
Since 2019 Else has maintained the Beacon Design System which is now used across the global TRP digital community. Beacon is made up of reusable design decisions in the form of tokens, UI components and code that power the client experiences across all of TRP’s websites. It also includes specifications, usage documentation, training material and access to expert support.

An embedded team
During the engagement we worked as an embedded team, 100% resourced to the TRP account. We became an integral part of the product team, working closely with the Product Manager, developers and the wider TRP design community. We had daily meetings and weekly on-site days to align on the work in progress, delivery and to help define the future roadmap.

My role
At Else I was the Lead Designer on Beacon, overseeing an embedded team that delivered design consistency through regular updates and improvements to UI components, whilst working closely with the client and development teams on planning and delivery. We also worked closely with the community to increase the adoption of Beacon by internal designers and product managers through regular support sessions, training workshops and promotional presentations of the latest work.
